Who keeps this index
indexcly is published by the United Auburn Indian Community, whose address is 1200 Athens Avenue, Lincoln, CA 95648, United States. A small editorial desk writes and maintains the cards; you can reach it at contact@indexcly.com.
The site has one job: to set out the practical facts about ten resort hotels so a traveller can compare them before booking. It covers rooms, leisure facilities, transfers, family suitability and the charges worth asking about. It does not cover gaming and never will.
How the site is paid for
Revenue comes from referral commission. When someone clicks Check availability and later books, a partner may pay us a share. The price you see is unaffected. The How we earn page sets out the details.
Our own resort at No. 1
The publisher owns Thunder Valley Casino Resort in Lincoln, California. That is the only reason it is filed as card No. 1, and the card itself carries a ribbon saying so. We do not claim the top spot is an independent verdict. The other nine cards are arranged by editorial judgement: our view of how strongly each hotel delivers on the criteria below, balanced against variety across the list.
Methodology and selection criteria
A hotel gets a card only if it clears every one of these tests:
- A reason to come that has nothing to do with gambling. A thermal spa, a beach, a boardwalk, a show venue or a striking atrium — something worth the journey even for someone who skips the casino entirely.
- A describable journey. A large airport within sensible reach and a route from arrivals to the lobby we can explain in a sentence or two.
- Clear official information. An official website that sets out room categories and core policies.
- Breadth across the drawer. Together the ten span North America, Europe, Asia and the Caribbean, and suit different kinds of trip.
Experience, expertise and trust
We aim to write the way a well-travelled friend would brief you: specific about what is permanent, careful about what is not. Facts are checked against each hotel's official pages and against fixed features of its setting. Where we are unsure, we stay general instead of guessing, and we never invent room counts, opening years, distances in minutes or prices.
- Nothing is graded with symbols, points or numeric verdicts.
- No guest quotes or commentary attributed to travellers.
- No hotel photography or hotel logos; monograms are drawn by us.
- No commercial arrangement can buy a card, a better position or kinder wording.
Corrections
If a card has slipped out of date or contains an error, email contact@indexcly.com with the hotel name and what has changed, ideally with a link to the official source. We check the claim, amend the card if it holds up and change the revision stamp on that page. Substantial corrections are noted on the card they affect.
